What an amazing abstract idea, it never occured to me until I read it. Keeping this in mind there are soe many areas around the home that could scanvenge power from. I walked past my aircondtioner the other day an noticed the fan pushin heaps of hot air out. You could turn the air con off or if it has to stay on you could put a wind generator and heat exchanger near the fan.

Great idea.
